Tom Hudson has developed a litigation practice focused on utility work and appearances before Administrative Agencies. Primarily, Tom works with utilities and insurance companies, with an emphasis on representing public utilities at the Public Utility Commission and insurance companies before state agencies such as the Division of Workers’ Compensation at the Texas Department of Insurance.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Represents electric utilities in a variety of matters, including contested rate case proceedings, complaint dockets, and administrative appeals.
  • Represents electric utilities and landowners in transmission line need and location proceedings at the Public Utility Commission and on appeal.
  • Represents workers' compensation insurer in medical fee and necessity disputes, disputes about the meaning and proper application of administrative rules and related statutes, and appeals to the courts.
  • Serves as general counsel for water supply corporation, undertaking contract negotiations, rate making, general litigation, and rule compliance.

Mr. Hudson represents utilities such as CenterPoint Energy, Inc., Southwestern Public Service Company, and Loop 360 Water Supply Corporation. Mr. Hudson also represents Texas Mutual Insurance Company in a variety of matters related to workers' compensation.
